Thanks to our friends at Visit Doncaster

Fuel up for Festivities

Start your day right with a proper breakfast, Doncaster has some great City centre locations for you to get your fix. At Banco you’ll find everything from poached eggs and smashed avo to mimosas and sweet treats. Alternatively, head to The Glass Strawberry. It’s full of charm, and their ‘Rainbow Eggs’ aren’t just delicious – 50p from each one goes to support Doncaster Pride. Win-win.

Not big on breakfast? No problem. Bone Idle Lounge has your back with excellent coffee and a chilled-out vibe. As an inclusive and welcoming place for all, it’s a brilliant little spot to ease into the day with a strong brew.

The Pride Party Begins

Once the parade winds its way through the city and arrives at Town Field, the party really gets going. Doncaster pride is buzzing with energy: there are two stages, showcasing a high-energy line-up of live music, DJs, drag performances, and show-stopping acts. The sheer artistry on show at the cabaret space will be sure to take your breathe away and if you go to the event as a family this year be sure to make the most of the family space - a welcoming area filled with activities, crafts, and entertainment for kids and families to enjoy together. You can expect to find an impressive selection of unique gifts, handmade goods, and Pride merch at the many stalls on display – there’s no better place to support our local LGBTQ+ businesses and makers!

Wind Down in Style

After a full day of celebration, take a breather with some food and a well-earned drink. The Temple located at Doncaster market is a great choice – vibrant, friendly, and with plenty of food and drink options to toast the day. Just down the road you’ll find The Queen Crafthouse & Kitchen, a proud LGBTQ+ safe space with a welcoming atmosphere and a drinks menu to suit everyone - real ales, creative cocktails, and a team that’ll make you feel right at home. There is certainly no shortage of places to eat and drink in the city, we've put together a list here.

If you or someone in your group needs an accessible option, The Staff of Life in the Waterdale is offering a free shuttle bus to and from Town Field. It’s a lovely community-focused pub and always a great place for a friendly chat and a proper pint.

When it’s finally time to call it a night, check in at The Mercure Doncaster Danum Hotel, this grand Edwardian building blends historic charm with modern comfort. Looking for more options? See the best Doncaster has to offer in accommodation here.
