The main event takes place on Saturday 10th August 2024.
Every year Pride Organisers up and down the country select one Pride to be the UK Pride of that year. Doncaster was chosen for 2024. It means it will be the focus event for the UK in 2024. That doesn’t mean we will be delivering an event that is massively different to the usual Doncaster Pride it means our pride has been chosen as a showcase event for everyone.

So, there will be new features, it will be bigger, there will be more people visiting but it will still be the Doncaster Pride you all know… just more glitter and sparkle!

We need the folk of Doncaster to back us with this huge honour we’ve been given by welcoming new visitors, friends and loads of Pride Organisers from all over the UK, Europe, and the World. Doncaster will be the place to be!
Because Doncaster bid to host the event and was voted the best by other Pride organisers from all over the UK. We felt it was time to let everyone in on how great Doncaster Pride is!
Doncaster Pride has grown year on year since the first event in Doncaster Market in 2007. As the event has grown, we’ve added more new features and had to move now five times to bigger spaces to fit everything in.

2024 will just be the same, we need to grow to give the event all the features you all want – so we aren’t growing for UK Pride to then shrink again in 2025.

Regulars to Doncaster Pride will experience in 2024 the next level of Doncaster Pride… improved but still retaining all the things that make it Doncaster and that the team have delivered repeatedly since 2007.
Elmfield Park was AMAZING, but we need a layout that works better for us and a space we can make secure easier.
We will occupy a space in the middle section of Town Field. We will fence the area for the purposes of safety and licensing.
YES, we have a family and Children Zone as well as Youth Pride. We encourage everyone to come to pride.
Yes… Doncaster Pride will always be free to attend. The VIP Area and the Cabaret Tent will have paid ticket options should you wish to upgrade your entry please check out the details for these areas.

Do remember… it may be free to attend but it’s far from free to deliver. Please, if you see one of our fundraising team, a QR code, a Facebook campaign asking for donations please, if you can, help us. If everyone who comes to Pride gave £5 the event costs would be covered for 2025!

If you think a day out at Doncaster Pride is worth £5

Just click on the Support Doncaster Pride Button on any page.
No, unless you upgrade to VIP and Cabaret Tent access. General entry is free, and no ticket required.

No, you will not be able to bring ANY of your own alcohol to Pride.

We’ve tried for years and years to keep the event open to bringing your own. We’ve asked you not to bring glass, to limit the amount of alcohol, to clear up your rubbish…. Sadly, many of you haven’t taken notice. These aren’t our rules, but we relied on you to do these things.

We are now left with no option but to completely ban ALL alcohol coming into the site. This decision is a condition of our license to operate Pride. So simply put, we broke the conditions, so they got tougher.

There is nothing we can do – our license conditions mean we must do this or there will be no pride, it’s that simple.

What you can bring is 1 500ml SEALED PLASTIC BOTTLE of water or 1 500ml SEALED PLASTIC BOTTLE of soft drink per person anything else will be confiscated and anyone found inside the site with their own alcohol, or any glass may be evicted from the event.

Please don’t be the one to spoil it for everyone else…. If we break the rules the future of Pride is at risk.
Yes, you can bring in food but please see the section re drinks above and please clean up your mess!
Yes, as always bars and food outlets throughout.

We have negotiated a reduction on the bar prices from the last 2 years. So typically, most drinks will be £4.50 (pint, single measure spirit and mixer, wine) When you purchase a Doncaster Pride reusable souvenir cup for £2 pick yours up on your way into the UK Pride site.

There will be a range of food outlets with something for all tastes including some cheaper snack options.
ANYONE!

Pride is a place to come and be you. Whoever you are, whatever your age, skin colour, sexuality, gender, or religion. No matter your abilities or restrictions, no matter your background… Pride welcomes everyone.

Please remember to be kind to everyone you meet on Pride Day you have no idea how much that means to people.
Yes… and make sure you enter it into the RSPCA Dog Show. There will be limited water so please bring water (sealed bottles) and food provision for your dog.

On arrival, everyone with a VIP ticket will be given a wristband to wear - this allows the freedom to come and go as you please, without having to repeatedly show your ticket.

We monitor carefully in advance; we plan for whatever we can. We know the safe limits for wind and wet and we pray for a sunny day.

We will put in place whatever measures we need to to protect the site, equipment, audience… but if it rains, we may just get a rainbow!

Please avoid umbrellas and bring a £1 poncho but we’ve partied in the rain many times and the show will go on
Our stages are full for 2024.
If you wish to be considered for the event in 2025, please email jodie@doncasterpride.co.uk between 1st September and 31st December 2024.
Doncaster Pride has taken place in August since its inception in 2007.
There are in excess of 200 local prides in the UK; it would be impossible for all these events to take place in one month of the year. Pride organisers deliver their events throughout the year, predominantly between May and September.
Of course you can also feel free to bring a picnic blanket.
Just no sun lounges lol.
