Acohol Concern

 

The leading national charity working on alcohol issues. Our goal is to improve people's lives through reducing the harm caused by alcohol.

British Liver Trust

 

Liver disease is the fifth largest killer in the UK. We are here for everyone affected by liver disease.
We support patients so they don't have to face liver disease alone
We campaign to improve awareness so people are aware of the risks to the liver
We lobby for improved services for liver patients
We fund research to find the causes and treatments of liver disease.

Child Line

 

ChildLine is a private and confidential service for children and young people up to the age of nineteen. You can contact a ChildLine counsellor about anything - no problem is too big or too small.

Children's Liver Disease Foundation

 

Formed in 1980, Children's Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) is a unique national charity dedicated to taking action against the effects of all liver diseases of childhood.
Based in Birmingham, CLDF is:
A comprehensive information hub for healthcare professionals and the general public
A tailored support service for young people with liver disease and their families
The lead charity supporting medical research into all aspects of children's liver diseases
The voice for young people, their families and adults diagnosed with liver disease in childhood.

Doncaster Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling Service

 

Doncaster Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling Service (DRASACS) our aim is to help local people who have suffered from these experiences. Our confidential services are available for:
Children and young people aged 18 or under, who have been raped or sexually abused
Adults who have experienced rape or sexual abuse, either recently or in their past
Family members who have been affected by the issue.

TriHealth Doncaster Sexual Health

 

For urgent and non-urgent sexual health advice and information, including:

  • HIV Prevention (includingurgent PEP HIV prevention)
  • Testing and treatment for STIs
  • Testing and treatment for HIV
  • Contraception

Haemophilia Societry

 

To raise awareness and bring together people affected by Haemophilia, Von Willebrand's disease, and other related bleeding disorders. Our aim is to increase knowledge about such conditions, and support families with information on the best possible care and treatment available.

The Hepatitis C Trust

 

The Hepatitis C Trust is the national UK charity for hepatitis C. It was founded and is now led and run by people with personal experience of hepatitis C and almost all of our Board, staff and volunteers either have hepatitis C or have had it and cleared it after treatment.

Herpes Viruses Association

 

The Herpes Viruses Association helps to improve life for people with herpes simplex by:
Helping them to understand the condition and put it into its proper perspective as a common skin complaint; Publishing a quarterly journal SPHERE which covers everything from research news to articles on stress management and our social events. See list of back articles here
Running trials to ascertain the effectiveness of complementary treatments;
Publishing the results from our questionnaires about the experience of living with herpes simplex;
Supporting and encouraging local groups and meetings;
Training and supporting the volunteer helpliners.

Aspire is a partnership organisation set up by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) and registered charity The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS).
